Michigan Program in Survey and Data Science
The Michigan Program in Survey and Data Science also offers Masters and PhD programs of study. The program draws faculty from social, behavioral, and statistical science departments across the University. The MS degree is a 47 credit hour program that can be completed full time (20 months of study beginning in September), half time (32 months), or part time (64 months). The PhD program requires four or five years of study.

ICPSR Summer Training Program
The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) offers a Summer Program in Quantitative Methods which provides additional opportunities for participants in SRC’s Summer Institute. ICPSR’s Summer Program offers courses in research design, statistics, data analysis, and methods of research which provide a complement to the courses on survey research methods offered by the Summer Institute.
The ICPSR program offers two four-week sessions, partially overlapping with the Summer Institute. The ICPSR and the Summer Institute have different fee schedules and separate registration procedures. Individuals not registering for academic credit who wish to enroll in both the SRC Summer Institute and ICPSR courses are required to pay full fees to both programs. Joint Program in Survey Methodology-University of Maryland
The Program in Survey Methodology has a partnership with the Joint Program in Survey Methodology (JPSM), founded in 1993 with support from the National Science Foundation and the US Bureau of the Census. JPSM is a consortium of faculty at the University of Maryland at College Park, the University of Michigan, and Westat, Inc., a survey research firm in Rockville, Maryland. JPSM offers interdisciplinary MS and PhD programs in statistical and social science concentrations of survey methodology. Degrees are awarded by the University of Maryland at College Park.
