Timothy Van Blarcom is a Principal Survey Statistician at D3 Systems and an alumnus of the University of Maryland’s Joint Program in Survey Methodology (Statistics track). He leads D3’s team of survey statisticians and data scientists, guiding methodological design, data quality assurance, advanced analytics, and strategic research execution across global projects.
Timothy’s expertise spans complex sampling, survey weighting, machine learning, causal analysis, and total survey error evaluation. He drives innovation initiatives that modernize workflows, develop data‑fabrication detection tools, and expand the organization’s analytical capabilities. In addition to his technical leadership, Timothy partners with senior stakeholders to shape research strategy and plays an active role in the broader survey research community through his leadership and cross‑sector collaboration.
