Rackham Graduate School Summer Open House- (2017 date TBD)

This event is a great opportunity for  prospective graduate students to learn about the different graduate departments and programs at the University of Michigan.  The Rackham Graduate School Summer Open House is an event targeted at prospective graduate students.  For more information about Rackham Graduate School.

  • 12:30-12:45pm – Welcome Remarks by GSS 
  • 12:45pm – 1:45pm – Applying to Graduate School Workshop
  • 2:00pm-3:30pm – Graduate Fair*
  • 3:45pm-4:45pm – Campus Tour

Bus Trip to The Henry Ford Museum-TBD

There are a limited number of seats available for a bus trip to The Henry Ford MuseumFive distinctive attractions at the Henry Ford captivate and inspire visitors of all ages:

  • Greenfield Village
  • Henry Ford Museum
  • Ford Rouge Factory and Tour
  • Henry Ford IMAX Theater
  • Benson Ford Research Center

The bus trip is free of charge to Summer Institute participants.  Each participant is responsible for the cost of any activities, attractions, and meals that they choose to participate in. 

Departure:  9:00am, promptly at the Institute for Social Research (ISR), 426 Thompson Street

Return:  5:00pm, approximately at the Institute for Social Research (ISR), 426 Thompson Street

2017 Welcome Reception-Friday, June 9

All Summer Institute participants are invited to a reception from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9 in 6050 ISR. This gathering is intended to provide an opportunity for faculty and participants to meet in an informal atmosphere. Refreshments will be served.
